Multiline Command

Hi everyone,
I'm learning AutoCAD LT 2002, and it seems like there is no multiline command but boubble line. Is it true?
I just don't understand How useful Multilines might be? How does it work and what can I make out by using this function?

I use the boubble line regularly and couldn't live without it :)
