We are thinking of upgrading from 2002 to 2006.
I would like to know a few of the main pro's and con's of this change.
It is inevitable of course I would just like to be a little more prepared.
Our print server isn't compatible with having two versions in the system.
So it's going to be an all or nothing change.

Possibly the most important change is that the DWG file format is different - it changed with 2004 - so that may change the way you interface with others. But why stop at 2006? Why not go straight to 2007? That way you get over 2 DWG changes in one jump (it has changed again with 2007) plus you get a whole new set of 3D modelling and rendering tools. Other notable things you'll see is true colour, not just the 255 index colours. Of course there is a whole raft of productivity improvements, all of which are positive but may take a little getting used to - I recommend some upgrade training to make best use of your investment.
