I was attempting to make a slide library for image tiles, and the ACAD help files said to use the "slidelib.exe" in DOS. The problem is that it seems WinXP doesn't have DOS in it... How do you make a slide library in WinXP?

Hmm, Win XP does present some problems but guess what - LISP can do it (apparently). Pick up one of the routines here and let us know how you get on http://www.vbdesign.net/expresso/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1949

Tried both routines on that thread, but they didn't work (on this machine anyway... WinXP + ACAD 2Ki). I guess I will have to insert blocks with a regular menu (with no images)... Anyone else have any luck with this?

Does it have to be DOS or is the MS-DOS prompt ok too?

I found out that in WinXP, you go to Run > "command" ENTER. But now I found out I don't know how to navigate around DOS. It shows a "C:\PFLORES", and I am stuck at that file location... It says "slidelib is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable command or batch file" I tried changing the drive and folder location, so I just gave up and insert blocks through a plain-vanilla drop-down menu. I've searched the web and they have programs to make image menus with the different slides for the different blocks, but none are free.
