Extend Beyonf Ticks

Hi, I'm having this problem: my Dim Style is set like that: "Extend Beyond Ticks: 0.00" - it's all working well until I’m having small distances, then I’m getting 2 long lines on each side of the ticks. I tried all the options in the "Fit Options" tab but none solve it. I'm using AutoCAD 2005. Can you advise? THANKS!!

I believe that this thread is a little old but I was having the same problem and was able to resolve this problem from occuring. The variable "Dimsoxd" should be set to off. This command is also available in the dimension style manager, fit, suppress arrows if they don't fit inside extension lines - uncheck=off.

In my setup, this worked for new dimensions, but existing dimensions in the same style were not changed even after "dim" "update".

If anyone has a fix for existing dimensions, I would love to hear it.
