OOPS is the greatest, saves using the undo all the time.

Oops is not meant to be a replacement for Undo. It only brings back the last object erased from the drawing. It's handy if you accidentally erase something and then need to bring it back, but don't want to undo 5 min. worth of work to get to it. But if you erase something else before you have a chance to bring back the object you need, you're out of luck. You then have to use Undo.

Yeah that the only downfall with this command but still a great one!

Talking of redo and undo. Redo redoes an undo but redo must follow an undo so you cant redo then redo because redo would follow a redo and not an undo if you see what I mean.
So in conclusion: it's probably better to use oops.

Does the OOPS command only undo the last ONE erase point or does it act like the undo so you can un-erase many objects????

Dave
redo can follow a redo as long as its redoing more than one undo and hasnt been interupted by user input. ie. ctrl+z (3 times) then Ctrl+y (3 times)

Oops brings back the last deleted selection set. It could be one object or many.
I use oops to temporary get things out of the way to make selecting stuff easier, say, a complecated move. Then I Oops and bring everything back.
Just the last delelted object. :( That's the only drawback! :geek:

Ako what an eloquent response. You don't happen to work for the Department of Doublespeak do you?

what if you erase something, then erase something else, and realize you need the first thing..if you do undo for the second thing, can you then use oops for the first?

reminds me of one of my previous boss. well back in 1997, when i was working as a mnual drafter in a fim  , (cad had just entered the scene) we had only 1 computer in a isolated cabin, which my boss was using mainly to play games in the afternoon. once when we were talking he told me OOPS is his favourite command & showed me what it does. so knew about ti even before i learnt cad but i don't sem to use it ever though.

 Autocad has been around since 1982. You might want to take a look at our Autocad Museum (http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=39).
