xref's and AEC

Within Autodesk Arch Desktop 3 I;ve xref'd my existing floor plans. They were drawn using AEC content
When I xref them into the proposed drawing the walls will not clean up with other walls, and doors and windows are not cut.
Anyone know whats up?

the command I was looking for was
'xloadctl'
my value was a <2>
and the value I needed was <0>

I don't know what the values correspond to but if you are having the same problem I was set the value to <0>
