I am runnint ADT 3.3 with express tools no 3rd party lisps. When I go to my express menu, layers, and layer manager. My layer manager comes up in command line and asks what I want to do. I cannot get my layer manager dialog box to come up. Please help.

What happens when you type LMAN at the command line, do you get the dialog box or the command line prompt? Try typing -LMAN. Now do you get the dialog box?

I get the text prompts. Not the dialog box. I'm at a loss I can usually get autoCAD to do what I want that this one is crazy.

That's odd. Usually LMAN opens the dialog and -LMAN gives you the command line version. Sometimes these get reversed, but you're saying they both give you the command line prompt?
I don't use ADT, but I assume it has a CUI like Autocad. Type CUI at the command prompt and the "Customize User Interface" dialog should open. If it doesn't, go to the Tools pull down menu > Customize > Interface. Once it opens, go to the "Command List" section and select "EXPRESS Commands" from the list box. Now, in the window below, scroll down to "Layer Manager" and click to select it. The "Properties" for the Layer Manager will now be displayed. Check the Macro, it should be: ^C^Clman

I checked the macro, it is exactly as it should be. Thanks for the help though. Any other suggestions?

Check your CMDDIA variable. It needs to be set to 1.
