Has anyone heard of VFont for creating font in autocad? I have been trying to figure this out for quite some time now. The guy who created the text for a copmany that uses autocad told me VFont is what he used. I googled it and I get a lot of junk on my search results. I e-mailed him back asking for a link, but no response yet. Anyone have any ideas on where to get this VFont program?

I used to be a font nuts and I was always looking for new fonts. Chances are that the font you are looking for is already made and probably if you ask for a specific font somebody may be able to share with you, I f I have what you are looking for I would share (I'm not selfish) with you

I doubt you have what I want/need. I am wanting a font that is for cutting stencils out of thin films with a laser. In other words, a laser stencil font. I work for a company that manufactures cables/harnesses for military applications, we have to mark connectors with refernce designators and some are very small (.06") in height. If you have what I want, then wonderful, but I'm guessing no.

In my times of being a font nuts there was a group selling a package of 100 diferent types of fonts that were (all 100 of them) divided in Three categories Outline, lite and heavy. I bought that package, and I have those 100 diferent types of fonts in Outline.
Outline is what you need to use to be able the font to go from the staring point all around the letter and back to the starting point to close the polyline.
Fonts are forms that autocad use regardless the size. You can use the font to be a million miles height to 0.001 inches and will transfer the information to your plotter (cutter) in the manner you needs them.
I don't know how to send you a sample for you to play with it.
keep me posted:sweat:
