Is there a way of importing a photo (jpg or bitmap sort of thing) into a autocad drawing, so that it plots looking beautiful? Oh I'm running 2004LT

you should be able to import a picture using image manager "im" being the short cut on the command line to activate it.Should work form there .

LT does not have the image commands that full AutoCAD has. There are 3rd party add ons. Look at www.drcauto.com (http://www.drcauto.com) and look for SlingShot Max. There is a 30 day demo if you only need this a few times. Good luck :)

i have had this problem - basically LT does not have all the image controls, this is especially annoying when using photo's as LT does not have true colour support or colour books either and so you cannot plot photos without the colours going funny! I have downloaded LT Extender which is only a demo but it does leave some freeware stuff on your machine activating certain commands that were not previously activated.

In my opinion these limitations in LT over full AutoCAD are really quite bad because they are everyday things that you might use, i can understand not having 3D commands but not to have true colour!!!

Thats my moan over (sorry)!

I agree Matt. LT could be the best 2D package on the planet if it only had the true color support, image tools and gradient hatches. It's also too expensive. LT should be priced at $500 and no more. I would also like to see an ADT LT or maybe an Residential ADT. AutoCAD is a great product and also a great company buit I believe that they miss the boat a lot of times.
