...and I thought AutoCAD could never produce AREA SHADOWS! :shock: Note the "bouncing" (reflections) of light even though I'm using a single light source...

Pretty close to a max render, I suppose! :roll: Well, I just activated the FINAL GATHER option (from the advanced render settings), lowered the light intensity to 0.7, used some attenuation factor and revealed one of the biggest assets that AutoCAD can offer!

Nice work. I think the new AutoCAD renderer is actually the same as the one in MAX so results should be comparable. Thew "bouncing light is superb - must get round to trying it out myself.

IIRC it IS the max rendering engine with Mental Ray as well.

Now i'm trying to use the 2k7 version for upgrading the rendering work to realistic........ just mine are like the impressionism.....i think.

Here are same object rendered using two different software. The image (2nd. image) done by Autocad 2007 is some what in reverse in term of lighting and it doesn't look natural when compare it with image done with sketchup + podium plugin. In autocad, I just turn on the sunlight and final gather. Could you guys give some tips on how to correct it.

Architctual Desktop 2007 Renders are pretty awesome compared to previous. I did this about a month ago.
