you should use what they call RPCs, instead of using 3d models.
they use hardly any memory and render up nicely. I know the Viz4
package comes with some people and trees.
Check out either archvision.com or cgarchitec.com, there may be some freebies going.

What exactly are RPC's?Are they a type of block.Do they behave like a 3D block, but do not have 3D properties?

Here you go, check out these sites for a bit on inspiration.
Just when you think you have rendering down pat.
RPCs are objects that youdrop into a rendering that are not 3d objects.
but when you render they come up in your image and also can cast shadows. they use hardly any memory. like hendy said, viz comes with a collection of people on the cd.

check out these as well, mind you they are not cheap, but the rendering time they save, you end up saving money in the long run

Hi
I have another question:
After I got RPC demo and I install it on my comp. for 3d Studo Max,
I can not run my plug-in.
I got a message:
"A valid Hardware Lock was not found".
If anyone can tell me what is that, and what to do, I would appreciate it.
thaks

Found this off the net hope its of help:
Cause
"Fatal Error: Security system (hardware lock or network license) is not functioning or is improperly installed" error appears, or a dialog box with an application key appears. The dialog box prompts you for an Authorization Code on startup; this indicates that a license management problem exists, or that the hardware lock has not been found.
Solution
Power down the workstation, temporally remove the hardware lock from the system, and reboot. Next, consult the previous section of this document to help diagnose and resolve your license management problem. Once the license management problem is resolved, the workstation may be powered down, the hardware lock replaced, and the computer rebooted for normal operation.

I did not get message about Authorizaton Code on startup,
just when I select RPC inside 3D Studio MAX dialog box with "A valid Hardware Lock was not found".
Also I do not know what is Hardware Lock.
thanks

Seems a hardware lock is by way of a dongle(device that plugs into the back of your PC & software lock is a authorisation code you enter. Both are used to prevent unauthorised use of a product.Have you tried asking the manufacturers of your software?
