I would like a full version of Solidworks but... If you are a student, you can get a deeply discounted student-version of ACAD that has the same functionality as the full version, but you get a "Not for commercial use, student use only" or something to that effect printed on your plots. There are some forums that tell you how to overcome this "problem". There was a book that I got from Autodesk that had an ACAD 2k CD which was time limited. The problem with it was that you could reset the time on your computer and you could continue using the software. I have heard they have since corrected it so you couldn't bypass it's security features so easily. I should also warn you that there are some ACAD-related forums that will report you to Autodesk if you are offering pirated software.

If you are worried about spyware cruise only to astaforum.com. They provide ftp sites that are spyware and banner free. Plus they have millions of mp3's!

If your still worried about your drive go to spybot and get the free software. Works better than a lead shieldd!!!
