Trying to model a slide

I have been having problems with this for ever. I am tryin to creat a spiral slide for a swimming pool. Something with a "U" shaped bottom. I can get the shape to extrude along a path that has the correct diam. and elevation change, but the shape rotates around that path's axis also, so it looks like if you were to slide down you would fall out at one point.
I have been through the forums and seen spiral stuff, but the lisps don't seem to fit my application.

Please help me!

Fuccaro has written a lisp routine that does this, but you will have to pay attention on how to use it.
