really long plots

I now work for over a year with Autocad and have big problems making long plots of up to 8 or 10m. We work with Acad 2004 with Windos XP. We now have an Epson 1520 which refuses to go over 44inch (1.14something meter). For months and months Epson kept saying it was not the printer, but of course it was....
We now want to buy an HP, but a small one, like the designjet 110 or 130, of course HP says it is no problem to print up to 15meter, but we heard that before. If there is anyone around who has any experience with this kind of long plots, it would be a great help...

Well, we have a HP Designjet 110plus and so far it has worked really well.

Anyway we have not printed long plots yet, the biggest paper we use is 36 x 24 and we have not had problems with it.

You could....
Get a 110 or 130 driver and install it.
Make a PLT file using it.
Take it over to your HP reseller and ask him to plot it.

We run a few HP's - 750, 1050, 500, etc. All handle long plots OK.
