Well it's been a couple of months now since we made the move to vBulletin and I guess most of you have now had time to get used to the new software and see what's on offer. So, I thought it might be a good time to ask for some feedback.

I'd like to know what you think of vBulletin and the way it's been configured. I'd also like to know whether you like the new design and so I've added a poll here to try and get an idea of what people think. You can select multiple options in the poll, so if you like the existing skin but would also like more choice, you can make that clear.

So do let me know if your forum experience is improved, is about the same or worse. Also, do let me know if there are any improvements you'd like to see.

i like both sets of skins, but the vBulletin does appeal to me more, plus it reminds me of the old CadTutor.net so i stick with it. if it wasn't an option it wouldn't bother me either way.

i LOVE the quick reply, and other new features that vBulletin has to offer, and i think the switch was a successful one for all. also, i absolutely love the RSS feeds, i have learned so much from those, and what's good about them - they come to you, you don't have to search the info out. just taking a brief look at everyone that comes in, really keeps my brain fresh on old and new AutoCAD hints and tips.

so far so good for me, i love this being my second home while i have downtime at work. lol

iain9876: BOO!!! HISS!!! Oh-PUN the door and let that one out!! (LOL)

Cad Tutor, excellent work: the 'new' foum looks great; BUT (and this is what I like) it's so very like the 'old' one that I had absolutely no problems finding my way around.

Thanks for a job very well done !!

I agree with Styk and Vince, I like the CADtutor default skin, even when I haven't tried the VBulletin skin. :D

I like how the forums behaves now, I means it's really easy to sail through the board and/or search, I love the quick reply too (but not as much as Styk does :P) I consider you've done a great work.

I take it form the few responses to this thread that you are all much more interested in the content of this forum and don't care too much what it looks like.

Ding Ding Ding!

I wouldn't care if it was purple and pink with little sparklie doos and spinny whizzers all over the place, as long as the content was as reliable, I'd still come.

Ok...that sounded BAD. But hopefully you don't take it the wrong way.

One thing I think we should have is a menu of the smileys on the basic reply page. :)

Purple and pink... now there's an idea.

Smilies on the quick reply form is an idea but it kind of defeats the object. You can always type the ascii equivalent and they will be translated into the actual smilie image when the post is made.

Do we need a table of smilies/ascii text equivalents?

It would be nice to know which smileys are here, and which ones aren't. Espeically if there are any special ones.
