Ok, so Im using AutoCAD 2005, and I recieved a grading plan from another company. I need to rotate their drawing, but when I do the "spot elevations" always stay where they are. Or sometimes they will rotate like I want them to, but when I make some changes, scale the drawing, or import other drawings into it, the spot elevations will go back to their original place and its original rotation. And even after pressing back they stay where they are. Or after rotating the spot elevations so they are back to how I need them, then I save it... And after re-loading the drawing, the spot elevations arent where they should be. What the heck is going on? Suggestions would be much appreciated.:D

try:
modify-> object -> attribute -> global

But the problem isnt rotating those objects... its getting them to stay rotated. I ended up exploding them all, and that seemed to work, but why would they do that? Like when I rotated everything, it looked fine, but then when I went to paperspace, they would automatically rotate back to where they were originally... What makes them do that?

Try a "list" on the points - are they "AECC_POINTS"? If so they don't behave like regular AutoCAD objects. If you have the corrrect object enabler installed you should be able to rotate and move the point information (text), but not the point.

ouch sounds like a hard one chad....try what carl said!

something similar happend to me when dealing with a particular survey. How I solved it was messed about with the block edit command and global edit...can remember exaclty what i did...but it worked after messing with those two things....

sorry cant be of more help!
