I have a 2007 LT installation of autocad on a windows 2003 storage server. I installed it in my name and activated it and registered the software. However there are 17 users on the machine, although only 1 can log in and use the machine at any time. I cannot get any user accounts to be able to run the autocad software except myself and the Administrator's account. The desktop link is on every desktop by default. If I change any of the 17 users to an administrator he can then run the software. When I put him back to a "user" he then cannot run autocad anymore.

Is there an easy way round this, or an idiots guide to setting it up.

I have installed MS Office pro 2003 on the same machine and this works flawlessly.

It may be that the users will have to be given administrator rights. It the old Novel days, they would have been rated as "administrator equivalent." I don't know what the term in current usage is.

Create a group with the rights to run ACAD and then put the users inside.
