I don't understand what you are trying to say. Your paste command doesn't work? Which one, the pull down menu, the right click menu, or the ctrl + v command? How does it not work? Is it autocad only, or is it everything on your computer?

Thanks for your quick reply but for some reason it has corrected itself.
It was just in AutoCAD, the copy selection worked but not the paste. All the paste commands you mentioned did not work and I have never come accross that before.
Thanks anyways!

can you open two drawings at once, tile the two drawings verticaly, select the bank of desk with no command active to get the hot grips then right hand click one of the grips and keeping the right hand mouse button press drag the selection into your other drawing?

I have just realised what the problem is, it is not working on all the drawings I have drawn in 2006/07 and saved as a 2000 format.
There must be something that changes when saving from a higher version down to 2000.
A wierd problem but somehow I found out why it does it.
