Updating custom sheet fields

I am having a problem getting my custom sheet fields to update. In the SSM I have created custom fields that are owned by the sheet. These fields are inserted into a title block in the paperspace layout of my dwt file. When I create a new sheet in the SSM based on this template, the fields owned by the sheet are filled in with the data existing at the time the sheet was created. So far so good, but once the sheet is created I can no longer change any of the fields. I have saved/regend etc and checked the field update setting and they are ok. Sheet set custom properties fields (owned by the sheet set) work fine.

My problem was solved when I came to realize the distinction beween 1) The sheet owned custom properties as displayed under the sheet set name, and 2) the sheet owned custom properties as displayed under the sheet title. The field values shown under 1) above are the default values inserted when a new sheet is created. The field values under 2) above are for the current sheet only and can be edited and updated. Thanks
