Hi,

I have been looking for a way to get AutoCAD2000 to run perfectly on Windows XP!.

No such luck yet im affraid but i have found a solution. You need a 'Compatibility Wizard' or somit.

Anyway do any of you people out there know a way worth hearing about?

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

Check with the ACAD 2000 newsgroups, the answer will be there (or someone will know).

I have been running ACAD 2000i flawlessly on WinXP for quite some time now. What kind of problems are you having?

I believe that there was a change in code to allow 2000i to run on XP without any compatibility issues (I think). I run 2000i on XP with no probelsm as well (I left it on so can convert plans to r14 - I still have a client that use that :? )

Have you installed service pack 1 + 2 and seen if that helped? Instead of going to the Autodesk website to search for them, go here and see if that helps any:

From another forum:

Problem installing Autocad 2000 because of your OS (WindowsXP), follow these steps:
Go to the Setup.exe (of Autocad 2000) file
Right click on it and go to Properties
Then click the Compatibility tab and where it says "compatibility mode" just click in the box under it and turn it to Windows 2000
Click OK
Run AutoCAD Setup.exe
