One of my clients is complaining that he has too much trouble picking the correct plot device. This may sound trivial but the man is picky to say the least. Can I remove the other printers ie, his A4 and A3 printers from the Autocad menu whilst leaving his HP plotter in this menu but still leaving them in his other progs, eg Word? I have to say in his defence that he does have around 9 different options to choose from!!
And a quickie... I'm not quite sure if this is ACAD problem or office network probem: He also complained about not just having A1 to A4 paper sizes so I defined (not sure if correct terminoligy) a pc3 file. Everything was fine until another computer on the same network had the network driver installed, then PC1 that I had been setting up lost its driver and wouldn't plot.
Sorry if wrong post for both but if I hear those immortal words "we need it by the morning" at 16.50 again I fear for the worst

Thanks guys

Under "tools" -> "Opitions" ---> under the "Plot and Publish" tab there should be a text box to "Hide Sstem Printers". When this is checked the only printers that will appear are the .pc3 files you create. So create a .pc3 file for just the printers you want to use. Using the .pc3 file you can also specify what paper sizes will show in the list, and the default paper ize.

Check AutoCAD's help on .pc3 file for more info.
