Grid Appears while zooming in VPort

Exactly what the title says. For some reason when I am in paper space, Idouble click into my viewport (which is locked) and zoom in....a grid appears...then when I zoom out is disappears. I tried switching grid on/off and nothing. Anyone have any idea? Its so frustrating!

Have you tried switching the grid off in the viewport and in model space?

Ya I tried that too...however, when I click Grid it says its too dense to display but its off? weird...

Yeh! The reason the grid says it is too dense to display is because the spacing would cause it to appear virtually solid on the screen. You must either have the spacing very small or you must be zoomed out a good way.
