group-ungroup - modification- please... :)

Hi guys,
I found this lisp here on the site. I usually work with groups, and i need some modification to this lisp, if possible. I already added a command, REGROUP - RGP,
and i need a new command ADD TO GROUP - i mean, to add some objects to an existing group - can be the same initial group (the same name), or can be a new group, but this new group not to have inside the old group and only to creat a group that will incorporate the old group and some new objects. Also, to remove objects from an existing group...

Hatching

Hi there, just a quick one. Im in the middle of drawing a concrete arrangement, but my hatching wont work. I click on the hatch symbol, and when I try to select my pattern I'm just shown a blank page, I've tried selecting 'custom' aswell yet it still wont work. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

My cursor changed colour?

My cursor/cross-hair suddently changed from Green to Orange. I don't know what it does to my drawing. I did not play with the settings... How do I get it back to green?

Update: In addition, I also noticed that I do not get a textbox next to my cursor while typing commands. I love to have this back. How do I get it back? This affects me a lot as I can no longer see my scale factor and alike...

Link Shift? Wires Expand as an object moves

The headline is very self explanatory... I was wondering, since I am drawing a lot of circuit stuffs, whenever I am moving an inverter or module shape around, I always have to either shift those wires or extend them to some extent.

I was wondering, like Google SketchUp, can AutoCAD have a follow extension mechanism for a fix point with an fix object?

I would love so that only one wires extends. So I am just looking at a linear expansion for now. I am not looking for complex 3D expansion... I just want 90° lines to extend:

Colour Fill a Box?

How do we fill a rectangle or any close shape surface with a colour? Commands please?

Gave a search and there was not much on the keyword "fill".

AutoCAD Status Bar: ICONS or TEXT?

I'm fairly receptive of new things in AutoCAD. Even if I do not adopt something new, I can generally find a reason for why things change. This one though, I still don't get. I can read the words much faster than I can figure out what the little icons mean. I've tried and tried, but this is still one of the first things I change on a new install. What do you think, ICONS or TEXT?

I’m confused. (VBA Page Layout question)

The code below actually works. It sets up my acLayout limits and then sets up a new page for me in the Page Setup Manager.

However, it sets up my acLayout limits on the paperspace tab (which I want) but it creates the new Page Manager page on the modelspace tab (which I don’t want).

I can’t seem to see any reason for this to take place.

Can any of you plotting gurus help me understand what I did wrong and how I can create the new page in the Page Setup Manager in my paperspace tab to go along with its setup?

Using Measure Function

I can't figure out the measure function. I select the object (a line or arc) as it asks, then hit enter. From there I've tried entering a number or clicking either endpoint of the line. Nothing works.

I'm trying to divide the line up into segments so I can put tick marks to designs 100'. How can I do this?

Action Recorder Insertion Issue

Once I start recording a new macro I have no issues at all. Everything works fine and it records all my commands correctly. The issue is inserting a block within the macro. When the macro is played, as soon as the playback comes to the “Insert” command, my model space zooms and pans immediately back to the original coordinates of creating the macro. I am inserting just a regular 2D block, not a Dynamic block. I have right-clicked on every part of the Action Tree within the macro and specified to wait for user input so that I may place the blocks where I choose, not the coordinates recorded when creating the macro, but it’s that first insert that causes all the problems. The rest of the inserts within the macro work just fine without taking off somewhere else.

I work for a structural engineering firm so I would like to have a macro that places two studs at each side of a window with a beam and callout in between. Obviously I would do this to every window in the building, but every time that I start my macro that I created, it gets to the insert block part of the play back and zooms and pans completely some where else in my drawing. That leaves me to have to pan back to find my window in order to finish my task.

I think the Action Recorder is a great idea, and it’s almost there for me! I need just a little help.

Link acad text to a word document

Hey all, Im trying to link mtext in an acad drawing to a word document. For example, when I write a legal description based on a drawing, in word, I want the text that I am referencing in the drawing to be linked. In other words, if I change the text in the drawing, it will automatically change the text in the word doc. Thanks.

I'm extremely new to this. I created a .lsp file and I'm doing polar array.

It seems last object is found, center point is defined in the beginning. It doesn't take number of items? :o
I've also unsuccessfully tried

Invisible Hatch from Vector Works DWG exported

From DWG files exported off Vectorworks, in Model Space my lines are interrupted with blank area which are non removable, unpickable. If I move my drawings in MS theses black areas stay in place, the problem is: I can drag my drawing away from them but without seeing them, I have no idea where they are. In Paper Space, these invisible hatch turned into grey area in random location and as grey background behind Elevation Benchmark (circle+text), room text, floor section.

Annoying!! Any idea how to reveal and delete these ghost Hatchs?

Plotting to a searchable text PDF

I have been asked to plot my drawings to "PDF's that retain the text (as text) from the original design application. And then when the PDF is opened they can do a serach for a specific text"
I have no idea how to do this and all my googling and serching has come up with nothing helpful. So I come here to beg for help if this is at all possible. :cry:

I am wondering how i can set the application menu so I get a center point on all my new sheets.

I don't have a center point when i make a new drawing.

And I don't know how to put one in my drawing.
