brettsprks Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Hi Can anyone help, I am a newbie to autocad and have jumped in at the deep end with the 2009 version. I have a set of DWG's I want to add dimensions to but when I use the linear dimension or continued dimension tools I get odd measurements. For example If I measure between points 'A','B' and 'C' and between A and B I will get a dimension of say 3560 but when I take the next dimension or continue the dimension of the same page distance or same size object I will get an odd measurement of 12 or 5. Does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks Quote
SLW210 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Can you post the file or some screen shots? Are you using the same Dimstyles? Are you in Paper Space or Model Space? Quote
brettsprks Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Sorry I am at another office at the moment, I was unaware there were different workspaces like I say I am a total beginner all I have done is open the file then zoomed in to the section I want then tried to add the dimensions, I do zoom in and out and use the pan feature to navigate around the drawing but I don't change any settings.
