Deaneric Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Have know idea why this is happening, i've attached an image of the problem. The legs seem to be missing bits. They were fine and then i added the seat and back and suddenly parts of the leg vanished??? Still not there when i render. Quote

ReMark Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Looks like a low end gaming card to me although it does have 1GB of GDDR5 videoRAM. How big is this drawing file? Do you have the latest drivers loaded? Have you made any tweaks to your 3DCONFIG settings? Quote
Deaneric Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 Its 10mb, latest drivers installed, and I haven't altered any of the 3d config settings. Quote
ReMark Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Could be you are pushing the limits of your card. I had a similar problem a few years back. At the moment I can't think of anything else it could be. Quote
JD Mather Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Its 10mb, ..... 10MB for one file? I would push the parts out to individual xrefs and no duplicates, for example if the legs are identical xref in 4 instances of on part rather than have the geometry created 4 times in the file. I would probably turn off solidhist as well (actually I have that turned off in my template). Quote
Deaneric Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Is 10mb big then? I'm really new to this and i'm teaching myself. The legs are what seem to be the problem. I created one with the sweep command then copied it. What is Solidhist? Quote
ReMark Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 What are your computer specs? Solidhist = Solid History. Quote

ReMark Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Sorry about that. I forgot I had asked you that question already. Think I had my threads mixed up. When you are in a 2D wireframe visual style do all four legs appear to be in the correct location? Quote
Deaneric Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 No, even in wireframe they don't appear, it may have something to do with my render engine and their materials, i'll check with them too. Quote
ReMark Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 It shouldn't, at least not in the 2D wireframe. You said you copied the legs? If you did where did they go? Quote
Deaneric Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Sorry ignore me, yes they show fine in 2d wireframe. I just copied and snapped them together. Quote
ReMark Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Are various parts of the chair on different layers? Can you isolate just the legs, do a render and tell us what happens? Quote
