Monochrome Plot Style Still Prints Colors

I decided to try one of the built-in templates for a project this morning and it uses STB files for printing instead of CTB files. I have two layout tabs and when I try to print one I select the monochrome.stb for the plot style table. All looks well except my dimensions which I use a color scheme a client prefers which has the text set to Cyan color. I'm using my Bluebeam PDF driver and the drawing looks find but the text is all in color, not black and white like I'm expecting. I tried the built-in AutoCAD PDF driver too but the results are the same. I thought monochrome meant no colors in the prints. So what am I doing wrong?

Okay, I found the CONVERTPSTYLES which removed all the named plot styles from the file. That resolved it. But this was definitely new territory for me.
