Z Axis Movement on Gizmo Disabled

Recommended Posts

I'm using 3D Max Design. I am unable to move an object on the Z axis of the gizmo. When I attempt to do so, a yellow line follows the path of my drag. I can move an object up and down only if I drag by all 3 axis.

Welcome to CADTutor. :)

Pardon my asking which of the 3D Gizmos you are trying to use for the 3D MOVE?

I suggest that you set an ISOMETRIC perspective, if you have not already, and try again.

You might want to turn on ORTHO or POLAR, and your DYNAMIC UCS, in which case

you won't even need the gizmo in question. Once again use an ISOMETRIC perspective.

I noticed you referenced using 3Ds Max Design in your profile, but I saw you had posted in the Autocad forum, so took a shot. :)

You definitely want to post it wherever the people who can help you the most, are most likely to see it, in a timely fashion.
