We have an Acess database with an elaborate frontend and has recorded every project since 1996 we can generally find what we are looking for in about 10 seconds. If you know anything about database sql you can do a "and" "and" "and" search. You can get at a Acess data base from within Autocad very similar to the method of acad-excel, using cell addresses. More than likely you can run a sql query from Autocad but not something I have played with. Autocad Map has this type of functionality built in.
