Silvercloak
I've been looking everywhere to find some way to do this. right now my civil3d defaults to "Start to End" which I can't fathom why anyone who works in civil would actually WANT that as a default. Regardless; I need this to default to by slope. Is there any way to do this? I can't find a setting or a rule that does this. CyberAngel
As we say in the civil field, crap flows downhill. The only reason I can think of for this backwards mindset is, it forces you to open the properties window for every pipe. There's always VBA.NET. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, you could write a routine that piggybacks on the pipe creation tool and resets that variable. And you can't even do a batch select and change for it. I wish I knew how to use VBA.NET but unfortunately I just DON'T have the time to learn how these days. The amount of work on my desk means every minute in the office is almost entirely drafting. And family life after work doesn't really leave me free time to learn a programming language. featherNfur
Check out this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-civil-3d/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Civil3D-UserGuide/files/GUID-83A5D8BD-20BC-49FC-9571-6AA7AE11154C-htm.html I haven't been able to find the "setting" to change the default either. If anyone knows of one please share. However, I think you can change the "Flow Method" more easily using the Panorama window. It's not a perfect solution but I think it will save you tons of time.
