Default Adding default linetypes to tool palettes

Can it be done?We have default linetypes for such things as pipework at low level etc,so I'm hoping to just have my linetypes preconfigured on a tool palette, rather than having look back at list and pick the right one.Can I only create a tool palette of blocks? Is it not possible to add linetypes? If I actually make these lines into blocks,it just wouldnt work at all,I need them to just be lines.

How about to create a drawing with all your linetypes and save it between the templates? Use the design center to drag the desired linetypes in the actual drawing.
It's nice to be nice, but sometimes is nicer to be evil!.

Thats what I did beofre and was hoping then to be able to make a pallette of linetypes, but its just not possible, can only create them for blocks.I never really use the design centre find it too slow.I think maybe I'll just have dig out the old list now and again!

what about creating a linetype legend block ?
you could create the block containing all the linetypes you need with a description etc. Insert it and all your linetypes will be available.
delete the block and purge when you're finished and all the unused linetypes are dumped.
Probably not the best way to do it but may be workable.
(I'm only on 2000 so don't know squat about these pallettes yet)
