2nd Floor wider than 1st floor?

Hello - I'm a Revit newbie - I'm making a graphic of 5 flr building to be used by the controls folks to show air zones, etc. The 2nd floor is 3 ft wider than the first floor. What is the best way to deal with this? The outside elevation doesn't really matter, the finished product will only show a plan view of the walls and doors. Just slice it right below the start of the 2nd floor and push the exterior walls out? Will it cause problems if, say, the flr 1 exterior walls just go up to flr 2, but the stairs go up to flr 5?

When you initiate the Wall tool, look for the modify bar. You can have wall heights connected to levels. Do this for level one so it doesn't extrude up into the level 2 floorplan.
