    What are your computer specs?

How big are the drawings that you're working on?

Do you have a lot of hatching in your drawings or image files or pdf's attached?

I have moved your question to the Autocad LT section: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/forumd...?82-AutoCAD-LT

CAD64 has mentioned a couple of things that could slow Autocad down. xrefs, dynamic blocks and network problems are a few others.
Is this something new with 2018 that didn't occur in earlier releases?
Is your computer spec'd for 2018?

2018 running fine here. Seems aster than 2017 for me, and I have a lame computer. I do have stuttering zooms and pans, but they are not slow, just jerky. I have an on board video processor.

Whenever you see a specific error message like this the first thing you should do is conduct an Internet search using the exact wording. If you had done that in this case you would have found a link to this AutoDesk knowledge-based article describing the cause of the problem and the solution.
