    Default Issue with my LTS

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

Ok well I will try to explain this as clearly as possible...

Ok I have an architectural bakground with some lines being dashed, that is being xref'd to my S2.3

I xref it and I draw my stuff which some have to dashed, hidden etc. but with the LTS set to 48 the dashed architectural lines come out big. I changed my LTS to 1 and it got reversed, the arch. was good but mine wasnt.

So at 1, arch is good mine isnt

at 48 or any other number mine is good but the arch is bad..

what could it be? any suggestions

Ive attached a picture so you can see.
The one on the left is at LTS 1
    on the right LTS 24

the arch. backgrounds are the mustard and blueish color lines.

    try this!
under linetype manager, look for details and uncheck "Use paper space units for scaling" and regen.

tell me if whats the outcome...

OK. I've always had this problem with XREFS.
I normally draw with LTSCALE 200 (command line) in MSPACE, then change to LTSCALE 7 (command line) when I'm in PSPACE for presentation. Fine on my drawings.
If the base drawing you're XREF ing in has been drawn with a specified linetype scale (see attached) you have to try and match this. ie. dont' draw your detail using 1.00 (default). When you've set this, ALL entities will be drawn at this scale factor and will match the properties of those entities on the XREF. Architects seem to be the worst offenders BTW, most engineers use 1.0 then use LTSCALE to set what is seen on the drawing (PSPACE). Once you've matched the XREF linescale properties you've then got to fiddle with the LTSCALE (command line) to display the line dashes etc. at the desired size. Hope this helps

Before you tear your hair out by the roots, there are two line style source files (acad.lin and acadiso.lin) which have a 25 times factor between them. A line style loaded from one file can be in the same drawing as a different line style loaded from the other file. So the first thing to do is to reload all line styles in the drawing from the same source file.
