    Default Ghosting in AutoCAD

I'm back with another question. I need to "ghost" part of an illustration and then export it off as a dxf. First off is there a way to get a ghost effect in AutoCAD 14 or 2000i and secondly will that information stay in the dxf? I'm tempted to bring the file into my Illustrator program and ghost it there but I'm always looking for a shortcut. Thanks for any info.

Ghost?? Do you mean grayed out? If so I put things to be ghosted out (back ground items) on a seperat layer or if need be color of 253. I then set up color/pen 253 to plot out on color 253 and doing this with blck line son other items it loks pretty good.

Now you can wblock out items from a drawing into a seperate drawing and then save as a dxf if need be.

Just not sure what you are asking for.
