Using Autocad MEP 2013, been using this software for 4 years now and had always received rollover tips (quick properties) by placing the cursor over an object.. For some unknown reason it has stopped doing it. No settings were changed.

Quick Properties and Rollover Tool Tips are not the same thing. For Quick Properties, right click on the status bar icon, and access Settings. Sounds like your Quick Properties are turned off, just left click on the icon to turn them on. Or might you be describing the Hover functionality, which succinctly describes an entity, when hovered over?

Got it fixed, somehow the system variables for rollovertips and osnap got changed.

Once reset to (1) everything is back.

Appreciate the replies

Glad you figured it out.

It is a good idea to save a .SVF, so that you can very easily reinstate your personal system variable settings, share them with a coworker, or install them on another computer.

In the SYSVDLG dialog box, you will find the SAVE ALL button at the bottom.

Name it accordingly, and save it somehwere you will be able to access it, for the next time something inexplicably goes south.

In order to call up your personal .SVF, click on the READ button, then Browse to the one you saved, and select it.

If you just click on the READ button, all of the default system variable settings will be restored, without any personal customizations.

SVF better safe than sorry.jpg
