Copy/ increment text to a coordinates list

Hi Guys,

I have a list of 400+ coordinates and I would like to use them to label text starting from 1, and each other coordinate position will be the flowing number.

If I copy a circle (center point), and pasted all the coordinates in at once (copied from excel) into the command bar then it would place the circle at all of the coordinates. Is there a way to do this with text but having it numbering the text from 1 and upwards numerically?

Many thanks,

Texaspete

What is the list?

Is this an Excel / CSV or something? In what order are the coordinates?

Your question is possible relatively easy.. But we need all the info. :-)

In excel there is a command called concatenate it joins cells so just do the same as the circle stuff but with "TEXT x,y num where you get the num part from a column.

=concatenate("Text " b1,",",c1," "," ",a1) Text x,y num your number is in column "A"

You mean this?

Command: CADTUTOR

Places a text on the coordinate, with the given pointnumber?

this should do it, type the formula in column C and copy down, (it uses a text height of 20, so change that to suit)

="-text "&B2&" 20 0 " & A2
