halam
Measuring volumes is much more complex than measuring distances and areas, in real-life as well as in your 3D CAD or GIS platform. This FME Volume calculations operates on 3D objects as (converted) AutoCAD DWG / SAT solids). Try it, learn it, share it..
maratovich
What is your question? Do you need find amount of solid?
halam
I had a wonderful experience with FME yesterday. We managed to dirive and write labelnumbers and amounts of similar parts just by sorting on calculated Volume of 3D solids. Check out the screenshot below. At the same time it can write calculated volume at the centerpoints in less then 30 sec. Regardless the size of the model. Just awesome! My question would be: Who has some more good experiences with FME to share? I offers like a gold mine of possibilities for data manipulation, also 3d. Just being happy about that. maratovich
There is a solution easier and more convenient. You can get a certain list or by characteristics. Here are the screenshots : https://www.kdmsoft.net/3dsolidbox.html Edited December 21, 2017 by maratovich
