Default fields as attributes/sheet set title block/dont plot empty fields?

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    hi all
i have a title block with all the components (attributes) set as fields.
i would like to set the fields as attributes to the title block 'block' so it can be used as the template to start a drawing in my sheet set.

    i have thus far:
    1. the titleblock is a block in a dwg.
    2. the dwg is (temporarily) a sheet in the sheet set i need it for (so i can give it sheet custom fields).
    3. all the attributes for the titleblock are fields.

    now im stuck.

what i would like to do is:
    1. create a block comprising all these fields (the title block attributes) so they are in a new dwg when i add it as a sheet to the sheet set.
    2. have it be able to be updated as per a regular title block so i can arrange their order, ie; define the fields as attributes in order.
    3. have empty fields not print out with "----" when they are empty!!

    i hope this is clear.

thanks very much for any help.

What is plotting? Do you have an example?
