Dear All

What is the Suitable Title Block Size Relative to Sheet Size?

I've made New Title Block for our Company (220 mm wide X 90 mm height) for A0 Sheet

now i want to move it to other sheets sizes (A1,A2,A3,A4)

i tried to just copy it, but in A2, A3 and A4 the Title block was very huge

should i scale it to be smaller ? what the scale ratio ?

We use a titleblock of 190x90 mm

For A3 and A4 we scale it down to a 0.70 scale factor

What about A2 ?

also my text height in this title block is 3 if i reduce by 0.7 it will be 2.1 , it that accepted?

i think 2.5 height is the minimum as lower than this will be hard to read

Some companies insist on using the same size title block for all formats which to me makes no sense. Look at all the space those title blocks can take up as one moves to smaller sheet sizes.

A0 190x90

A1 190x90

A2 190x90

A3 133x63 (scale 0.70)

A4 133x63 (scale 0.70)

Textsizes:

Projectname: 3.5

Discription 3.5

Contractor: 3.5

Date: 2.5

Status: 2.5

Projectnr: 2.5

all other... 2.5

Where the above are scaled by 0.70 for A3 and A4

We use A1 and just use scale factor of 2 for A3 an A4 we make a brand new title block. The rule is simple tough sq root 2 is the sheet ratio for iso fold long edge in half and rotate 90.
