When I try to render an image of my 3D drawing, the material shows up correctly but the text on the drawing doesn't show up. I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

If you are using a fillied TrueTypeFont and have given it some thickness, it should render. Autocad's shx fonts are the same. -David

If he's talking about dimensions then not only will he need to use the TrueTypeFont font with a thickness, but he will also have to do something about the extension lines, arrowheads, etc. I'm with f700es. I would add the text and dimensions in an image editor after rendering.

A simple way to do this would be to set up a viewport with your model, text, dimensions etc. Then do a render to get your image. After that, turn off your model in the viewport and print a pdf of your text and dimensions. Then simply composite the two together in your image editor. I have done this sort of thing before and it's very quick and easy.

Here's one I did a while back using the procedure I mentioned above.
