help as this is driving me crazy I export part of a drawing with wblock and set the basepoint such as the lift shaft. then I start a new drawing and insert the exported block as xref. The UCS 0,0 is not as the basepoint as I specified when I exported with wblock. Am I missing something? I need the basepoint to insert at 0,0

Have you checked the INSBASE variable in the destination drawing? Have you opened the WBLOCKed drawing and verified the base point?
