    What difference would it make? Use a font that you like and can be easily read (ex. - RomanS).

    Cynically, I suppose asking questions on this forum is much cheaper than paying for membership of The Chang study - Engineering Drawing Problems Workbook (Series 4) for Technical Drawing with Engineering Graphics Solutions Manual, which seems to have a remarkably similar exercise.

    I would say that the font looks like manual stencil.
