Text Edit box missing

Recommended Posts

I now understand that you are using Text not Mtext, I believe that is your problem.

Create a new Mtext, and double click on it.

I greatly prefer Mtext to Text, never use it.

I looked in the SYSVDLG and found the following description for the available settings for TEXTED.,

I suspect the screenshot will help you get back on the tracks.

Per AutoDesk: formatting options are displayed in the contextual ribbon when you edit text.

Is this what you are looking for?

Ribbon? What's that?

Excellent ReMark is freshly coffee'd up and ready to provide timely Ribbon based wisdom.

Oh wait a minute, so that is the Contextual Ribbon?

I am familiar with that old thing!

That is what I like.

Just to be clear, the posted image is NOT the Contextual Ribbon. It's the Text Formatting toolbar which really is "that old thing". It was turned off, by default, when the Contextual Ribbon was introduced but like other legacy items it can still be resurrected.

Note that the OP's profile lists AutoCAD 2007 (full) but as he has pointed out he is currently using AutoCAD LT 2018 (an eleven year difference).
