Hello Guys and Gals this is my first post to any AutoCAD forum so here goes.:)

Ive been sent a dwg file by a client (house builder) and I've deleted all bits of the drawing I dont need and saved the rest as a dxf file. When I then try to open the saved file i get this message;

Any site setting out engineers on here that has had this issue?

I have to convert all dwg drawings to a dxf file (ASCII) for my Total Station to read it. Thanks in advance.:)

If you have a total station forget dxf just go to p,x,y,z type files. I have been involved for over 20 years with total stations and its still the simplest and works every time.

just create a group of points called setout. and upload to the instrument.
