ThrashMetal
hey all, first time i encountered my dimension showing an inaccurate distance, for example the scale was set to 1:20, the dimension should only be about .60 of a meter but it shows 3 meters, and it changes every time i change scale on the layout page. also, all multiviews in that page has accurate dimensions. help..thanks a bunch
ReMark
Is the object being dimensioned 2D or 3D?

ReMark
Did you check that the end points of the object have a "Z" of 0?
pendean
Dimension? Is that in paperspace or modelspace (through the viewport if there is one)? What does DIST command show in modelspace? If you draw a line between the two points, what does LIST command show in modespace?
ThrashMetal
First off, i would like to say thank you for the reply "Did you check that the end points of the object have a "Z" of 0?" - That I did not do sir since i assumed Z would only come out on model work space so that thought did not enter my mind, and no other items on the model space was on 3d. I actually solved the problem but i don't know if its really the proper solution to it. what I did was take the dimension points from a point on the drawing that would not register other dimensions, (example: thickness of wall), when the dimension came out as .15 of a meter, i continued with the dimension of the others that needed measuring and did matchdrop command using the thickness of the wall as reference and it came out good. i know its a simple solution but I know the problem lies with my settings.
