Arun23
Hi all, I am currently searching the market for a Apple MacBook. I am unsure which MacBook to go for which will be beneficial for the AutoCAD 2018 software. If anyone uses the MacBook for autocad could you please tell me which spec to look at and any pros and cons in using the software with a MacBook. Greatly appreciated Arun23
ReMark
System requirements regarding AutoCAD for Mac can be found here...https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-AutoCAD-for-Mac-2018.html
halam
What i understand AutoCAD for mac is only half the functions of a normal windows one. I would not leave windows for it.
pendean
AutoCAD for MAC is basically LT with LISP, for the full price of AutoCAD for Windows. Not exactly a wise expenditure, but neither is Apple hardware. This may be all the OP needs, it is good enough for the majority of users on a MAC. f700es
Agree with the others. Just get a good PC laptop and get AutoCAD for Windows. Just bought my son a laptop for college (mech eng) and I got a 7gen core i7 HT quad, 8gb ram, 4gb GTX 1050, 120 gb ssd and 1 tb hdd 15.6" 1080 screen for $800. It will run ANY cad application he could want to use.
