Hello,

I don't succeed how t set the right viewport / scale for a given plot style... I played around a bit but no luck.

How do I set the outside edge of my chart to align with the dashed printable area?

The DWG can be downloaded here, couldn't use the upload tool.

Many thanks for your help!

Your doing it backwards, take your title block and insert it into a layout model space lower left at 0,0 just easier, then make it true size its a wierd size now. Make sure the outer line work is slightly inside the hard clip limit of your printer. Make a mview window inside the title block and scale your object there. We have a couple of title blocks to suit paper size in different layouts etc. I made the title around 805 long to suit an A1 sheet.

If you start using layouts it will make life so much easier.

If everything is located in model space then there is no call for using a paper space layout and viewport. Layouts are normally used for your title block and border. Model space should contain the objects you have drawn. Text and dimensions can go in either. The model space objects are viewed through one or more viewports to which a scale is applied. Everything in model space should be drawn full size (i.e. - not drawn to scale as one might do on a drafting board). Finally, viewports should have their display locked so as not to accidentally change the scale.
