Hi Tannar thanks for getting back so quickly.
I have tried rename to rename them individually but cannot work out how to do it for all the layers simultaneously.
cheers
Stephen
On the "Old Name" line type this: carriageway construction$0$cc*
on the "Rename" line type this: CC-*
Now, all layers will start with CC-
will that work for you? i don't know if you can just take it out using that command. some else maybe?

i'm not sure if this works, but when you bind the xref a dialog box comes to chose between bind and insert. chose insert instead
well if your renaming layers that have the same layer name as a current one, it won't do it. look over your layers and make sure of this.![]()
