Need to change font in Autocad

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am making a company logo, and I need to do some lettering in AutoCAD

and save the lettering as a dxf file. I need to know where to find the fonts

so that I can make the lettering close to the sample given to me. I have

access to AutoCAD 2000, 2007, and 2018. I need to keep changing fonts until I come close to what I need. Believe it or not for the several years I've used AutoCAD

and all the lettering I have added to drawings, I never once changed the font, I don't even know where they are or how to access them.

Thank you,

Andrew Gotchofsky

If you google "True type fonts free" you will open a magic world of free and pay for fonts. When you say you were given the font to match was this a paper copy if so go back to the person who provided it to you and ask them what font they used then like Cad64 add or select the correct text style.

Try searching for "Font Matching from Image", I know newer versions of Photoshop have a Font Match. Trying to do this manually could take a while and there is the possibility you do not even have the correct font. Of course, asking the originator of the logo is the easiest.
