    Default Real Name in Profile

I just added a new optional field to the user profile that allows everyone to show their real name when other users view your public profile. This is completely optional and if you'd rather stay anonymous, that's just fine.

Having looked at other forums recently, I noticed that although most people like to use a screen name for general stuff on forums, it can make the place feel even friendlier if members are able to add their real name to their profiles.

There it is - I won't be asking for your phone number or bank account details...
Tip: Please do not PM or email me with CAD questions - use the forums, you'll get an answer sooner.

You can't change your own username from the UserCP but I can change your username for you. So, if you'd like a change, drop me a PM and I will oblige.

users should probably be aware of the pros and cons of adding a real name to a forum

if you are freelance it could be useful to be easily found on a google search

there are some really odd people prowling round the internet though, and not necessarily registered or posting here, but they can still read what's here, so be very careful when making your decision to add your name, and then be careful not to upset anybody or disagree too strongly with their choice of software
